Job DescriptionA non-contentious employment solicitor required primarily to advise on and draft contractual documentation, including contracts of employment, policies and procedures. Will also be required to assist the employment team in other respects, including with marketing and training presentations. Employment related corporate support work also required.

In addition, corporate immigration experience is desirable but not essential.
ExperienceAn employment lawyer with excellent non-contentious drafting experience, ideally 2yrs+ PQE although we will consider excellent NQs.  The nature of the work would suit someone from a City or large national firm background.

Although the candidate would be required to work independently, the role would be supervised by senior members of the team as appropriate.
The OpportunityThis is an ideal opportunity for a non-contentious lawyer to assist a thriving and expanding 12-strong employment law team which is pre-dominantly litigation based.

Our employment team has an excellent reputation which punches massively above its weight.  We have a wide range of clients ranging from PLCs, US clients and national charities to small owner-managed businesses in a whole range of sectors.

In addition to the day-to-day work, some of our key clients require on-going non-contentious support with policies and procedures on a regular basis; this gives an excellent opportunity to build up good working relationships with our key clients.

The candidate would also work closely with our company/commercial team which often requires employment law support on transactions.

We also service our clients’ corporate immigration needs and this role provides an opportunity to work in this area as well.
Ideal candidateThe successful candidate will have the experience stated above.  In addition, they will have a strong teamwork approach, an ability to work under pressure at times and initiative.  A good sense of humour is also required.
InterviewsFirst interviews will be carried out by the Head of the team, one other senior lawyer within the team and the HR Officer.

Second interviews will involve other senior members of the team and the Chief Operating Officer. IT and technical skills assessments will also be included and there will be the opportunity to meet the rest of the team.
