Construction projects are invariably complex and expensive. We specialise in preventing disputes happening, and resolving them when they do.

What do we do?

We are regularly involved in mayor construction projects in the UK and overseas, acting for all sides of the industry including major contractors, consultants, developers, educational institutions and housing associations.

Our work involves the negotiation, amendment and finalisation of project-specific agreements. We are also involved in the resolution of construction and engineering disputes, often through alternative resolution where appropriate. In addition, we have a wealth and depth of experience in private, commercial and public procurement.

Whilst we act for a number of household names in the industry, we have not forgotten our regional roots. We continue to act for small and medium sized local firms and are proud to do so.

Our experience

With one of the largest Construction Teams in the region, we have the capability to advise across the full spectrum of projects and disputes in the industry (from PPI and PPP to the more run-of-the-mill delay and defects disputes). Our size also allows us resource each case in the most cost-effective way.

Our approach to charging

We offer a variety of pricing mechanisms, from the “traditional” hourly rate approach to fixed costs (and a number of permutations in between).

We find that our clients value costs certainty. Accordingly, we offer innovative fixed costs per stage pricing whenever possible. We guarantee that the costs of a particular stage in a case will not exceed an agreed limit. In return all we ask in return is that you provide payment for that stage in advance.
