Karin Horsley

An attentive lawyer, who guides clients through the complexities of property law.

Head of Greenwoods’ commercial property team, Karin believes that it is vital to work together with our clients and to develop an understanding of their businesses so we can provide the best service available. 

Karin encourages all the members of her team to get to know our clients, to visit them and to learn their needs so that they can offer a bespoke service.  The success of this approach is reflected in the Legal 500 guide (2012) which describes the commercial property team as ‘responsive and pragmatic’.

A commercial property lawyer for over thirty years - thirteen as a partner in City of London firms - Karin has a wealth of experience in all aspects of property transactions.  Her ‘tenant’ clients have included major retailers with large property portfolios and overseas clients acquiring offices and warehouse/distribution premises in the UK.  Karin has also been part of one of the leading property finance teams in London and worked with investors in building up a substantial portfolio of investment properties, both in the initial acquisition and funding and then in relation to the management of those properties.  Most recently, Karin has been acting for overseas investors in multi-million pound acquisitions of investment properties - both residential and commercial - in London, with a total value of over £30 million.

The depth of Karin’s experience is summed up in the Legal 500 Guide (2011) which reports that Karin is described as ‘knowledgeable, attentive and with complete mastery of her subject’.

Karin is currently the President of the Peterborough and District Law Society.

Amongst a number of varied interests Karin is enjoying learning to play the piano and, despite having limited time to practise, her repertoire is building!
