Micheala focuses on what’s important to Employment clients

Micheala Drazek

Solicitor

Micheala qualified as an Employment lawyer in September 2020, after gaining experience of the dynamic and fast-paced world of Employment Law.

She joined the team in March 2020, which transpired to be a very busy time at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in the UK.  Micheala provided urgent advice to clients when they needed support with many unique and complex COVID-19 related queries.

Since then, Micheala expanded her specialisms and now assists clients in a wide variety of matters including preparing them for Employment Tribunals, advising on day-to-day employee relations issues and drafting tailored policies and contracts.

“When Micheala advised an employee on the terms of a settlement agreement he said: “Thank you for finalising the agreement.  I appreciate your fastidiousness.” ”

(Employment Law Client )

Having acted for a variety of organisations including in the construction, technology and public sectors, Micheala understands that different clients have different requirements and appetite to risk.  She tailors her advice accordingly.

Her client base includes recognised global household names, many with significant numbers of employees and well-established HR teams.  As a result, Micheala is often asked about tricky employment law issues with challenging timescales.  She thrives when working under pressure and always remains focused on the important details.

Micheala is a member of the Employment Lawyer’s Association and also successfully applied to sit on their COVID-19 working party.

Keen to keep clients up to date with relevant developments in employment law, Micheala enjoys providing legal updates, both in person and virtually.  This helps her understand further the challenges her clients face and how she can make her advice as practical as possible.

Micheala completed her law degree, Legal Practice Course and Master of Laws at university in Leicester.  She was awarded a prize for achieving the highest mark in her Employment law module during her Legal Practice Course, so maybe it was inevitable that she would be drawn to applying that knowledge in the Employment team.

Outside of work Micheala enjoys experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
