FIND A LAWYER

We have an ethos of community involvement and support many members of the Greenwoods family to be involved in a range of community, charity and environmental initiatives.

We regularly enable employees to take time out of the office to support charitable organisations and trusts. Some choose to undertake activities to raise funds whereas others act as Trustees or Governors. Having this ethos in place brings our Environment, Social & Governance (ESG) principles to life.

Charity of the Year

This year we have selected ‘Grief Encounter‘ as our Charity of the Year for 2023. Nominated by Perrie in our Employment team the charity decisively won our staff vote, showing it’s a cause we really care about.

Our focus is to lead a range of exciting events in the coming year, to raise as much money as possible for the charity.

“We’re delighted to put our support behind Grief Encounter, a leading UK bereavement charity. We all know what it’s like to lose someone close to us, and our efforts this year will ensure Grief Encounter can reach even more bereaved children, young people and families following the death of a loved one.”

“I’ve been involved with the Charity Committee since it was first set up at Greenwoods.  It’s great how everyone really gets behind the fundraising, and hearing first hand from our charities about the work they do is incredibly inspiring.”

“Walking 34 miles in a day along the Thames Path in London for our Charity of the Year in 2018 was challenging and rewarding in equal measure!”

(Micheala Drazek, Employment)

“I joined the charity committee when I joined the firm as it is not only a great way to support brilliant charities but also an easy way to get to know your colleagues!”

(Heidi Groom, Risk & Compliance)

“The Charity Committee provides fantastic opportunities for us to come together to raise money and awareness.   I’ve been heavily involved for 10 years now and have arranged many events including a 100 mile bike ride (highest pub to lowest pub in the UK); 40 mile walk through the night in Rutland; a Hike, Bike and Kayak challenge and our Dawn til Dusk office based challenge. I’ve absolutely loved being involved and can’t wait for our next challenge!”
