Recent International and Cross Border Litigation

  • Acting for a high-profile individual in Formula 1 (and related family companies) in Commercial Court proceedings regarding the recovery of circa £300m within and outside the UK.

  • Successfully defending a high net-worth individual in a London Circuit Commercial Court trial of a fraudulent representation/deceit claim arising out of a US$3m investment offering in the US (Damazein Global Investments Ltd v Salamanca Capital Ltd and another [2019] EWHC 2730 (Comm)).

  • Resolving a complex and high value High Court claim that formed an intricate part of a wider global litigation relating to the ownership of an international group with over £100m of assets located within the UK.

  • Acting for a process engineering contractor in connection with a circa £60m dispute arising under an ECPM Contract for delay, disruption and extra costs for onshore and offshore construction of an oil rig facility.

  • Acting for an Anglo-Persian oil company in a dispute relating to non-payment of £10m odd of invoices due to the allegedly defective performance of a seismic surveying services agreement.

  • Advising in relation to a multi-million dollar international construction litigation that spanned Southeast Asia and the UK and reached the Supreme Court involving complex technical construction expert opinions, delay and programming issues, forensic quantum reports, multi parties, a PI Insurance dispute, legal issues of no loss and piercing the veil of an international corporate structure.
