For Isobel communication is at the heart of any successful client relationship. To achieve this, communication needs to be clear, concise, and free from jargon.
Throughout her working life, clear communication has been a skill she has cultivated. From speaking to customers about outstanding debts in her credit control role to assisting with dismissals whilst working in HR, managing difficult conversations is something Isobel has significant experience in.
These experiences have made her value the unique role legal professionals play in providing support to clients in these stressful situations and she is ready to use to her skills to make the experience as effortless as possible for clients.
Isobel started her Training Contract with Greenwoods in September 2022 and is currently in her third seat in Employment. Before starting her training contract, she worked at Greenwoods as a Paralegal in the Real Estate Team focusing on Commercial Property. Whilst there she worked with a variety of different clients, from large companies to private individuals and assisted with both freehold and leasehold transactions.
Before moving to Greenwoods, she worked in varied roles including as an HR assistant for a leading facilities management company and as a credit control executive for a small software company. This varied experience has provided her with the skills to be very agile and adaptable.
Isobel studied at the University of Exeter, graduating with a 2.1 BA (Honours) in Politics and then studied for her Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) and Legal Practice Course (LPC) at the University of Law, achieving a distinction in both.
Outside of work, Isobel is an active member of 3 book clubs so can always be trusted to give a good book recommendation and enjoys hiking in both the UK and abroad. She recently completed a month-long hike across the Canadian Rockies and is looking forward to planning her next expedition.
