Gurmaire Kaur

Gurmaire brings a detail-oriented, thoughtful, and friendly approach to her work.

Before joining Greenwoods, she gained legal experience whilst working at firms such as Shoosmiths and DAC Beachcroft. These roles helped her develop strong foundations in progressing matters efficiently from inception to settlement. Gurmaire also achieved a first-class honours in her LLB Law degree and completed both the LPC and an LLM.

Since joining Greenwoods, Gurmaire has worked in the Corporate & Commercial team and the Risk & Compliance team. Whilst working in Corporate & Commercial, Gurmaire was exposed to a fast-paced environment where effective organisation and communication were key. During her time in Risk & Compliance, she has gained an understanding of the regulatory frameworks and professional standards that support Greenwoods. This experience has given Gurmaire valuable insight into the firm from both legal and operational perspectives and reinforced the importance of consistently delivering high-quality client service. At the firm, she is known for her diligence and ability to build strong relationships.

For Gurmaire, starting a training contract at Greenwoods is an important milestone. She is most looking forward to broadening her knowledge through her seat rotations, gaining mentorship from her experienced colleagues, and developing the commercial awareness needed to contribute meaningfully to Greenwoods’ future.

Outside of work, Gurmaire enjoys spending time with her nephew and niece. She also has a long-standing interest in fine art, particularly portraiture, and her favourite medium is oil paint. Both babysitting and painting have taught her another important skill – patience!
