Simplifying your
ID&V journey

Identity Verification

Starting on 18 November 2025, all Persons with Significant Control (PSCs), Directors, members of LLP, general partners of limited partnerships, relevant officers of Registrable legal entities (RLEs) or anyone filing the documents with Companies House on behalf of a company must complete Identity Verification (ID&V) either via the Companies House website (via GOV.UK One Login) or via an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP).

Greenwoods is an ACSP (also known as a Companies House authorised agent) and we are happy to support you on your ID&V journey with a simple and efficient process.

You can find more information about our service within FAQ section below.  When you’re ready, please fill out our enquiry form to start the process and we will be in touch.

    FAQs

In certain scenarios you cannot verify your ID directly with Companies House, for example, if you do not hold a biometric passport, UK photocard or other supported ID.

An ACSP will assist with any queries directly with you or Companies House and will work as an intermediary when communicating with Companies House.

In scenarios involving multiple directorships/PSCs, it is convenient to outsource the ID&V to an ACSP who will manage the process efficiently and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

    • Step 1 – we request information from a Director/PSC (full name, date of birth, residential address with 12 months address history and email address).
    • Step 2 – ID&V is conducted with the help of a third-party software.
    • Step 3 – validation of the documents and any other queries that may arise.
    • Step 4 – we will confirm to Companies House of the satisfactory completion of the ID&V.
    • Step 5 – you will receive an 11-digit code directly from Companies House.
