Stockholm Chamber of Commerce Arbitration
Komaksavia Airport Invest Ltd v Republic of Moldova [2021]: Representing a Cypriot-domiciled company in a complex investor-state arbitration against the Republic of Moldova under the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC) Rules. The dispute concerned the government concession to operate the national airport at Chișinău valued in excess of €900m. An Emergency Award was obtained to prevent the termination of the concession, taking advantage of the unique remedies that the SCC offered, and ensuring that the Claimant did not suffer any further prejudice.
