Media Entertainment NV v Karyagdyyev and Another [2020]: Succeeded in striking out a claim for damages against Defendants accused of involvement in a ‘hostile takeover’ of a global online gambling operator. This High Court case distinguished between the remedies of damages and an injunction when considering whether the recipient of confidential information had to know that its use or retention of confidential information was not authorised by the proprietor of that information.
