International expertise
in prime London property
Partner, Real Estate
Amalie acts for people buying and selling at the top end of the London market, and for the banks, trusts and companies that sit behind them.
Her work covers acquisitions and sales of freehold and leasehold property, lease extensions, and matters for overseas investors and trust companies. She advises banks and institutional lenders on secured lending, and is comfortable with offshore corporate structures – which is useful, because a great many prime London purchases involve one. Recent matters include a £46m re-mortgage, restructuring a trust company’s UK property portfolio, and completing ten flats in a single day for a developer.
Amalie is Danish, and advises a good number of Scandinavian clients on buying and selling in the UK. English conveyancing is strange enough in English; her clients tend to find it helps to have it explained in their own language.
Amalie joined Greenwoods in September 2026 as a Partner, from Withers. She qualified in England and Wales in 2006 and studied at the University of the West of England. Chambers High Net Worth recognises her work on high-value conveyancing for international clients.
Before the law, she worked at Legoland. She has yet to find a transaction more complicated.
