Amy Carpenter
Managing Associate, Property Disputes
Amy qualified in 2015 and has been a valued member of the team at Greenwoods since 2018. She prides herself on providing a first-class service to clients on all types of property disputes.
She has a practical, results-based approach to litigation; she recognises that property is an asset that needs to be protected, and her objective is to achieve the best outcome for her clients, but without unnecessary fuss.
Amy has extensive knowledge of commercial and residential property disputes.
She acts for both commercial landlords and tenants in business lease renewals, break notices, dilapidations and other related issues.

Her residential experience includes acting for landlords and tenants in service charge disputes, boundary and adverse possession claims, and other property disputes.
In enfranchisement matters, she acts for clients on statutory lease extensions, collective enfranchisement and right to manage claims. She has extensive experience in the High Court, County Court, the First-tier and Upper Tribunal.
Amy regularly uses alternative dispute resolution as a way of resolving her clients’ disputes in a cost-effective and realistic manner.
Amy is a member of the Property Litigation Association and the Association of Leasehold Enfranchisement Practitioners (ALEP).

The first appeal of its kind
Amy, alongside senior counsel, acted on the first property guardianship appeal in the High Court. They secured possession and created a precedent in the guardian sector.
