Curious, Practical & Commercially Astute
Apprentice Solicitor, Employment
The law bit is important, but Nicolle recognises that building strong relationships with clients is fundamental.
Nicolle has lived in Nanjing, China to study mandarin and New York City in the United States. Nicolle enjoys a challenge and has a unique ability to quickly adapt to different situations and strives to deliver the best outcome for her clients.
Nicolle studied Politics at the University of East Anglia and graduated in 2021. She then went on to complete a Master of Arts in Law and joined Greenwoods in October 2022 as a paralegal in the Real Estate team.
In September 2023, Nicolle started her journey as an Apprentice Solicitor while studying a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice in preparation to qualify as a solicitor through the SQE route.
Nicolle’s first seat was with the Real Estate team, and her experiences involved assisting clients with purchases and sales of commercial and residential properties. The transactions varied from multi-million-pound commercial property projects to helping clients purchase their first home or a tenant secure a commercial lease.
Nicolle’s second seat was with the Risk & Compliance team. Her role involved promoting regulatory compliance, helping clients reach a resolution when things don’t go to plan, and understanding the risks the firm faces and how to mitigate them.
Nicolle’s third seat was with the Employment team. Her role involved assisting colleagues with defending employment tribunal claims, providing legal advice to clients, attending tribunal hearings and drafting legal documents such as settlement agreements.
Nicolle’s penultimate seat was with the Corporate & Commercial team. Her role involved working on M&A deals, drafting legal documents such as shareholder agreements, bespoke articles of association and assisting clients to incorporate or manage their company.
Nicolle’s final seat is back with the Employment team, and she intends to specialise in this area of law when she qualifies as a solicitor.
Outside of work, Nicolle spends her free time sprinting at the athletics club, strength training, travelling, reading or visiting family.
