Poornima has spent over two decades advising on residential property principally in the super prime and prime central London market and in the surrounding counties, which means there are not many situations she has not already seen. She speaks Tamil and acts for a diverse client base, including private individuals, overseas investors and companies.

She acts for private individuals, developers, overseas investors and companies across the full range of transactional work – acquisitions and sales of freehold and leasehold property, and off-plan purchases where the building does not exist yet and the contract has to account for that. She also acts for private and international banks on secured lending.

What clients and agents say about her is that she is responsive and clear with everybody in a transaction, which aids the speed in which a transaction can be dealt with. She is reassuringly calm and is appreciated for her friendly and proactive approach.

Poornima joined Greenwoods in September 2026 as a Managing Associate, from Forsters, where she had been since 2007. She was recognised in the Spear’s Property Index 2025 for “delivering successful outcomes in the most challenging circumstances.”

Outside of work Poornima spends her leisure time with her family and enjoys hiking, cooking and reading.
