Simon Boschat is a Managing Associate in the Disputes team, advising businesses, shareholders, directors and individuals on a wide range of complex commercial disputes.
A Legal 500-ranked lawyer, Simon has almost a decade of post-qualification experience acting in High Court litigation, international arbitration and specialist tribunals. He is known for providing clear, strategic advice and guiding clients through complex and high-value disputes with a pragmatic and commercially focused approach.
Simon advises on a broad spectrum of contentious matters, including shareholder and boardroom disputes, civil fraud, contractual claims, professional negligence and reputation-related issues. He also has experience acting in sports disputes and disciplinary proceedings.
His practice spans all stages of the dispute resolution process, from pre-action strategy and urgent interim applications through to trial, arbitration and settlement. He regularly works on multi-party disputes involving complex factual and legal issues, often with international elements.
Prior to joining Greenwoods, Simon worked at Hill Dickinson and Teacher Stern, where he acted in a number of significant High Court cases and international arbitrations, including substantial fraud, shareholder and contractual disputes. Before qualifying as a solicitor, he worked within the financial services sector as a derivatives paralegal and ISDA negotiator at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, giving him valuable insight into commercial transactions and the wider business considerations that often underpin disputes.
Simon is admitted as a Solicitor in England and Wales and brings a commercially minded and solutions-focused approach to helping clients resolve disputes effectively.
In his spare time (which is limited with a young family), Simon enjoys watching football, playing golf and going on long walks with his dog.
