Tim Jenkins

Tim Jenkins has spent 30 years honing his skills as a lawyer in private practice, working for clients of all shapes and sizes along the way. Understanding his clients and their needs, and having the opportunity to help shape and share their journeys, remain, for him, the key ingredients for professional fulfilment.

He believes that the ability to get the deal done while simultaneously connecting with a client, empathising, and being commercially mindful are qualities that will help to sustain client relationships.

During his career, Tim has built a wealth of corporate experience with a particular emphasis on helping owner-managed businesses, family-owned enterprises and entrepreneurs with corporate transactions. He joined Greenwoods in May 2024 and brought a number of long-standing client and intermediary relationships.

Tim’s practice has a particular (but not exclusive) emphasis on the healthcare sector, especially retail pharmacy. For over 30 years, he has assisted clients of all shapes and sizes, ranging from national and regional operators to regional groups, family-owned businesses, and first-time operators, with commercial transactions. This includes pharmacy sale, purchase, relocation, merger, joint ventures, refinancing, and restructuring.

Tim joined us from Charles Russell Speechlys where he spent 30 years, joining as a trainee and moving up through their ranks to become a full equity partner.

Alongside developing his non-legal skills over that period (holding various team-leadership, mentoring and management roles within his prior firm), Tim finds it particularly rewarding to have the opportunity, as a seasoned lawyer, to have a positive influence on the professional development of the lawyers within his team.

Outside of the world of work, Tim enjoys family time, skiing, rugby, all things French (wine and cheese included), and playing poker (as to the latter with the emphasis on appreciating the art of psychology rather than winning a card game – which is lucky as that is a rarity!).
