Successful defence of a claim that our client fraudulently misled investors
We helped a Bahamian defendant joined to Mercantile Court proceedings in the UK to successfully defend a claim that he fraudulently misled investors in relation to an offering of shares in a US recycling business. The client, who was sued for over £3m, was successful at trial, and recovered his costs, following key disclosures from the opponent which emerged at a mediation and which were ultimately key in cross-examination at trial.
